History
The traditions and past of Tau Epsilon Phi goes back many years. We were nationally recognized as a fraternity in 1910 and from then on, the majority of our chapters have been located on the East Coast. TEΦ stands by three ideals which are friendship, chivalry and service. In November of 2014, a group of 16 men at Rutgers University came together to start Tau Epsilon Phi on campus. We are currently making strides to personally affect our classmates, communities and each other in the best way possible.
What We're About
As a fraternity, we nationally and locally believe in three ideals that make our brothers and our communities better. The first ideal is Friendship. Although it is straightforward, it is easy to lose a sense of what friendship actually is in this generation so we treasure this quality. The second ideal is chivalry which encompasses moral, social, and religious code. We respect everyone as long as it is morally right and as a unified fraternity, we strive to keep the brothers bonded by the code of a good TEΦ man. More informally, being an overall good person. Our last ideal is service, which encompasses the selfless efforts of bringing our neighboring communities together in a variety of ways. Given these three ideals, you can understand what a TEΦ man stands for.
